Upcoming Events

Tuesday, June 30th

Wednesday, July 1st

  • 9:00 am - 6:00 pm - preliminaries
  • 9:30 am Autonomous Car Demonstration
The car is already known to many as the German Team-LUX car (IBEO Hamburg) from the Darpa Urban Challenge 2007 - by then the world's most important car rally for autonomous vehicles. LUX drives using two eyelike laser sensors in the front and one in the back that scan road conditions, buildings, other vehicles and pedestrians over a range of up to 200m.

What makes the LUX so special compared to its competitors is that it does not look like a robot: 3 ibeo LUX sensors as well as the entire processing are integrated invisibly into the vehicle. Like this, the LUX keeps its original appearance despite the robot expansion of its abilities.

During an exclusive demonstration, the car will show its capabilities to drive autonomously (no driver on the steering wheel) through a public street.

For detailed information about Team-Lux visit their site: http://www.team-lux.com/
