Contributions
We encourage the submission of papers reporting high-quality, original research. Papers describing both real-world research and papers reporting theoretical results, as well as high-quality overview articles are welcome. All contributions are peer-reviewed by at least three reviewers using a double-blind review process. Accepted papers are published and archived within the Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) series.
All contributions to the RoboCup International Symposium are considered for the "Best Paper Award" and the "Best Student Paper Award" (if primary author is a student). These awards recognize research of outstanding quality in a field related to RoboCup.
Instructions
The proceedings of the RoboCup International Symposium are published by Springer-Verlag. All submitted and accepted papers are limited to 12 pages and must be formatted according to the LNCS style. The use of LaTeX2e for the preparation of papers is particularly encouraged; for your convenience, the LaTeX2e style files can be found here.
The submission process requires initially the submission of the title, authors, and abstract of the paper (in plain text). This information facilitates the allocation of papers to reviewers in advance. Full papers must be subsequently submitted exclusively as PDF files. Make sure that all fonts are embedded into your PDF file to ensure that it can be viewed and printed normally. You may optionally attach a video file (.mpg, .avi, or .wmv format, 5 MB maximum size) to your submission for better demonstration of your work. Alternatively, you may cite a YouTube link to your video in the paper.
The review process is double-blind, which implies that neither the authors nor the reviewers are aware of each other's identity. To this end, you must ensure that all author-identifying information is masked out in your PDF file. There should be no references to author names, team names, prior work, experimental sites, research projects, funding agencies, etc. Where necessary, write "Deleted for blind review" to conceal identifying information. Note that these guidelines apply also to video attachments and/or links. Submissions revealing author identity in any way will be rejected without consideration.
