Applications NSP-3 Molecular Sieve:

It is used to remove the mercaptan from natural gas and carbon dioxide in liquefied gas.

Natural gas is made up of mixtures of hydrocarbon gases. It often includes CO2,H2S (non-hydrocarbon) and other gases. CO2,H2S will cause corrosion of equipment, pipelines, and CO2 will lower the natural gas' calorific value. Additionally, LNG (liquefied naturally gas) raw material CNG, compressed natural gas, must be removed prior to liquefaction. This will prevent crystallization in cryogenic process, clogging pipes, and corrosive gases corrosion of equipment and pipelines. Dry ice can form from carbon dioxide during liquefaction and can clog pipes. CNG that has high levels of CO2 needs to be removed before it can become LNG.
