As an anionic lubricant, sodium heavy benzene sulfonate is able to reduce the oil water interfacial pressure and improve the rate of tertiary extraction. This surfactant is used for oilfield flooding. The degreasing, decontaminating and detergent properties of sodium heavy alkylbenzenesulfonate make it a useful degreasing or decontaminating agent. The emulsifier and dispersant properties of sodium heavy alkylbenzenesulfonate are also very high. Combining this product with other additives will produce emulsified cutting oils and other emulsified lubricants. Useful in printing and dyeing as well, rubber, building materials, rubber and textiles. Also used to make anti-rust oils, emulsified oils and co-solvents.
